Epictia peruviana

NO IMAGE FOUND

Range: Central Peru, near Perene

The Peruvian blind snake is one of those species whose information is near-entirely lost to the obscurity of hard-copy literature and untranslated, unlinked sources. It is described as having a universally reticulated pattern dorsally and ventrally, likely from having lighter edges to its individual scales, and with larger parietal (above and behind the eye) scales and tall supralabial scales not contacting the supraoculars. Nothing else could be found.

Habitat: a single central montane valley region in Peru, specific habitat unknown.

Lifespan and reproduction: lifespan unknown, likely under 10 years. Oviparous.
