The Queen Victoria or Royal agave is a south-central Mexican native, and unlike many more familiar agaves is a relatively small and compact plant producing rosettes often only a foot and a half across with dozens of semi-erect tightly clustered leaves. These leaves are smoother and more round-tipped than many other species too, rarely producing many thorn protrusions along the edges and colored rich green with dramatic white edging along the sides and criscrossing the leaf backs. Mature plants after many years may produce a 13 foot inflorescence with dozens of cream-colored blooms before dying off.
Available plants are seedlings approx. 1-1.5 inches in diameter.
