Most commonly referred to as the Soursop or Guanabana, this odd fruit is one of several similar species that all have unique flavors. A Central American/western Caribbean native, it is a small fast-growing tropical tree growing to 30 feet tall and wide (or kept pruned to much smaller heights), with broad semi-ovular leathery leaves, and mature plants after a couple of years will produce small yellowish flowers that give way to fruits that can be up to an incredible 15 pounds (between 1-4 pounds more common). Fruits are oblong-shaped and covered in curly, semi-soft spines, ripe when they begin to feel soft, and are described by many as having a sort of citrus-tart, strawberry-apple flavor.
One available plant currently (with a couple more on the way), a seedling approx. 6 inches tall.
