A wild looking and ornamentally grown South American nettle, this plant produces spreading branching stems covered in almost fluffy looking, complex toothed leaves (don't touch with bare hands though, it's got a potent itchy sting to it!). Each branch terminates with a spike of several pendulous upside down flowers that have slender scoop-shaped white petals, surrounding central reproductive parts that are shaded in white, yellow, and red bands creating a bright "target" appearance. Self-pollinating, blooms give way to wildly spiral-shaped seed pods. Seeds are quite easy to germinate, needing no special treatment (and also safe to handle), and plants can be placed as annuals along sensitive garden areas to add lush appearance, color...and protection from curious critters or young hands.
Available packets contain approx. 25 seeds each.
