The American Beautyberry is a spectacular and highly beneficial native shrub of eastern North America. Plants are quite cold hardy, and may reach 5-10 feet tall over time with broad serrate-edged leaves, and tiny summer flowers that give way in fall to brilliant, comically purple berries that are highly prized by birds, but also edible to people (though with not much flavor so best made into jams or desserts to utilize their color). They tend to do well in part sun locations, with rich soils.
Available plants are seedlings approx. 3-5 inches tall.
