A species commonly confused with the more widely grown D. tokaiensis, this is an American native, with this form coming from a region on the southwestern coast of Florida. These plants tend to average around 1-2" in diameter, with broader than usual rounded or triangular lamina on narrow, distinctive petioles and brilliant red colors filling in under good light. Flower stalks are relatively short and thin, sporting several small, very light pink self-fertile blooms. These plants grow especially well as colonies, and thrive in subtropical or tropical conditions. Seeds need no special care, but may take some time to sprout.
Packets contain 30-50+ seeds each.
