A tropical form of this species that is a bit larger and IMO hardier than the Roraima variant. Plants develop short stems and rosettes of paddle-shaped leaves that can exceed 3 inches in diameter, pointing in all directions. Coloration is typically olive green with hints of red and scarlet tentacles, though can turn almost solid red in strong light. Flower stalks are moderately tall and thick, bearing small, self-pollinating white blooms. Seeds can be somewhat erratic in germination, but require no special treatment unlike temperate localities and this form does not have a dormancy period.
Packets contain approx. 30 seeds each.
