The King Sundew, and aptly named; rare in the wild and touchy in cultivation, some say to grow it like American pitcher plants with warm summers and a cool winter dormancy, while others recommend highland environments with cooler winters. I would likely recommend a cool summer, and winter cold dormancy (but not hard freezing). Well-fed plants (which can tolerate singler fertilizer pellets near the roots) can sometimes develop leaves almost 3 feet in length, slender and lance-shaped and able to coil around caught prey in wild fashion. Tall stalks with numerous brilliant pink blooms may form in late spring or summer on mature plants.
Available plants are seedlings approx. 2-4 inches in diameter.
