This plant is a polyploid species derived from a hybridization event (similar to anglica or tokaiensis) between D. oblanceolata x spatulata, and named for the island from which it is most frequently recorded. Plants develop flat to slightly raised rosettes up to 2 inches across, with more or less paddle-shaped leaves bearing thick petioles and an oblong lamina. Coloration is olive green flushed with red, to nearly solid red in full sun. Flower stalks are somewhat short and thick for a sundew, bearing several large, pale pink blooms with rounded petals. They will self-seed, producing colonies if left alone.
Available plants are semi-mature to mature, approx. 1.5" in diameter.
