A classic though slightly touchier South African species, forming rosettes that can sometimes reach 3 inches across (more commonly 1.5-2"), with semi-erect, broad paddle-shaped leaves that have fuzzy, distinct broad petioles and semi-oval lamina all colored in blushed green and red or solid crimson. Flower stalks can be massive, sometimes reaching over 18 inches tall, with numerous well-spaced small pink blooms that usually self-pollinate. Likes cooler but very bright conditions and sandy soils.
Available plants are approx. 1.5" in diameter.
