The Musk Strawberry is a fast-growing, fast-spreading little plant that makes for an excellent groundcover in moist, cool spots in the yard; their lengthy runners means they reach new areas very rapidly. Multiple plants are needed to set fruits as each tends to be only male or female, but if crossed females will produce tiny half-inch deep red berries...that are highly prized by many for their exceedingly concentrated flavoring often carrying notes that remind of pineapple or raspberry, which imparts well into wines, jams, syrups, and other uses. Each pot has at least one if not two or three mature plants, often with long runners already present.
