A very easy to grow South African bulb, with slender grasslike leaves that can reach nearly 2 feet high and grow up from each bulb in tight clumps. Grown indoors they'll go dormant in summer and be active in winter, while outside in warmer climates (may survive to zone 8) they'll be summer active and winter-dormant. Flower stalks are produced at the middle to end of their season, and in this batch may produce size-petaled flowers that are either white with pink to red spots near the center or bright blood-orange with red spots. Best grown in loose sandy soils.
Available plants are bulbs approx. 0.5" in diameter (or groups of 3-4 smaller bulbs).
