One of the clones of Freesia that I'm keeping and have grown out has set seed, the first white-blooming variant with light pink spots at the petal bases. This is a cormous South African bulb plant, growing like a thick grass and dying back to shaggy bulb structures during their dry seasons which usually coincides with hotter weather. They are best grown outdoors in cooler climates with mild winters but can also be grown as winter houseplants. I cannot guarantee the colors that appear out of these seeds, as though the white-flowered plant was the only one in bloom at the time it set seeds the parent batch my plants came out of descended from a white-and-red form and spawned a bright peach version.
Packets will contain approx. 10 seeds, very limited. No special treatment needed for germination.
