Commonly known as the Golden Rain Tree, this is a relatively small shrub or tree often growing to only 6-12 feet tall (though might get bigger in warmer, wetter climates). Divided, serrated leaves are nearly hidden away in summer once mature by stems full of brilliant yellow flowers, which tend to remain intact once they fall and scatter across the ground in a gold carpet (hence the name "Golden Rain"). Pollinated flowers give way to three-sided tapered balloon-like structures which hide away the seeds, and in fall may turn bright red before browning out. Seeds require scarification or hot soaking and then a 2-3 month cold stratification period to germinate.
Packets contain approx. 10 seeds each.
