Commonly known by many names including Black Goji Berry, Black Wolfberry, or Russian Box Thorn, this shrubby plant can grow up to 6 feet tall, with spindly branches bearing semi-succulent narrow leaves. Small purple tube flowers are followed potentially by loads of small ovular black berries, which are not only sweet and edible themselves (and popular in jams and desserts), but the leaves are often brewed for herbal teas. These plants may require some acclimation to outdoor conditions, but once established should be cold-hardy to zone 5 and extremely drought tolerant.
Available plants are seedlings approx. 4-6 inches long.
