Commonly called Wood Millet or Bowle's Golden Grass, this shade-loving plant is a circumboreal species with varieties found in both North America (mostly the northeast) and Eurasia. It grows to 18 inches tall with spreading clumps of flat blades that drape over the ground, topped in late summer by delicate branching spikes of tiny seedheads. This variety is particularly attractive, having a rich yellow-green coloration that makes it stand out in the understory where it's happiest.
Available plants are approx. 5-10 inches tall.
