This is one of my easiest to grow crosses, a grex hybrid of x splendiana x ventricosa "red" and highly tolerant of a wide range of temepratures and humidity. This clone produces vines with leaves to about 8 inches long, lower pitchers roughly cylindric but with a slightly narrower upper half, and a slanting mouth with a rounded to scalloped peristome. The exterior is mottled green and dark red, the peristome equally deep crimson. Upper pitchers are broadly funnel-shaped and paler, but usually still sport light red blotching and a pale red scalloped peristome. It is a known female, not extremely fertile but is capable of producing offspring.
Available plants are newly rooted cuttings with new growth approx. 2-4 inches in diameter.
