One of two surviving clones of this moranensis cross that I have, this is the one with the darker flower more like its mother. Rosettes of bright green broadly ovular leaves may reach to nearly 6 inches across, though around 3-4 is more common (winter rosettes can often be less than an inch across, with densely packed fuzzy leaves). Flowers are large like their mother with sweeping teardrop shaped petals, rich grape-violet at the ends and growing lighter toward the middle, before giving way to extreme dark violet highlights at the base of the petal edges around the white corolla mouth. It is not uncommon for the stigmas or anthers to mutate into ruffled "mini petals" in the center.
Only one plant currently available, just under 2 inches in diameter.
