A relative of the common Hen-and-Chicks succulents enjoyed in rock gardens, this biennial Iranian plant develops broad fleshy rosettes of pointy semi-ovular leaves that, once put in full sun, will develop often rich red tones and reach about 3 inches in diameter. Cold-hardy, in their second year come early summer they will put all their energy into a gigantic stalk bearing dozens of fiery red star-like flowers, that should pollinate easily and set new seeds to sow.
Available plants are seedlings approximately 3/4-1.5 inches in diameter.
