The Pink-flowered Currant is a California native hardy down to at least zone 6, a shrub growing to 5-10 feet tall/wide and bearing loose arrangements of 5-lobed serrated and aromatic fuzzy leaves that can turn brilliant colors in fall. As name suggests it produces clusters of pale to brilliantly pink flowers in spring that ripen in late summer to fall into deep purple/black fruits that are edible (if astringent, so best used for things like pies and jams). They are highly adaptable plants though prefer part-sun locations with moist but well-drained and slighly acidic soils.
Available plants are seedlings approx. 2-5 inches in diameter.
