Like its sibling this plant is a vigorous and stout plant, if not quite as tall; pitchers so far exceed 14 inches though will likely grow larger. Bright green tubes lead up to a very large stout mouth ringed in red, that bleeds into a thick crimson throat blotch that leaches up into the lower lid. The lid is broad, heavily ruffled and flared to the sides, with green fading to red veins among white areoles.
Available plants are medium single growth-point divisions.
