Despite the name this wild Zinnia is not just a Peruvian native; believe it or not it stretches from South America all the way up into the borderland southwestern US as well! These fast-growing annuals are found almost anywhere that moisture collects, such as lake shores, canyon bottoms, or grassland deltas where they develop stems between 1-2 feet tall topped with delicate blooms bearing pinkish to rusty or scarlet orange-red petals. Readily self-pollinating and easy to sprout on any moist well-drained soil, they make for an eye-catching splash of red stars in any garden setting. These are the ancestors of all cultivated Zinnia varieties.
Packets contain approx. 15+ seeds each.
